When an LG TV will not turn on, the standby light can tell you a lot. A completely dead set, a steady red light, and a red light that changes when you press Power point toward different sections of the TV.
First Check the Basics
Verify the outlet with another device, reseat the power cord, and disconnect accessories. If the TV has a physical power button, try it instead of the remote.
What the Standby Light Can Mean
No Standby Light
With a known-good outlet and cord, no standby indication often moves the power supply board higher on the list. A blown fuse or failed standby circuit is possible, but do not replace a board from appearance alone.
Red Light Stays On
If standby power is present but the TV never starts, the main board may not be issuing the power-on command, or another circuit may be preventing startup.
Light Changes, Then TV Shuts Back Down

LG Part Numbers Matter
