Do the Flashlight Test
In a dark room, turn the TV on and shine a bright flashlight across the screen at an angle. If you can see a faint moving image or menu, the LCD is producing a picture and the backlight system is the leading suspect.
If You See a Faint Image

If There Is No Faint Image
The T-Con board, main board, panel connections, or panel itself may be involved. Confirm the symptom on multiple inputs and look for any brief image during startup.
Inspect Ribbon Connections Carefully
With the TV unplugged, inspect accessible board-to-panel ribbons for crooked seating, contamination, or visible damage. Panel ribbons are delicate; forcing them can turn a repairable TV into a damaged panel.
Order by Exact Part Number
TCL models often use multiple board revisions. Match the original board number and connector layout rather than ordering from the TV model alone.
