A black screen on a Hisense TV can mean very different things depending on whether the TV has sound, whether the panel is lit, and whether the set stays powered on. The fastest repair path is to separate a lighting problem from a video problem.
Listen for sound and menu response
If audio works and the TV responds to the remote, the main processor is at least partially operating. That makes the flashlight test especially useful.
Use a flashlight to check for a hidden image
A faint image visible under a flashlight usually means the LCD is creating the picture but the LED backlight system is not illuminating it. Inspect the backlight strips, LED-driver output, and power board.
If the panel is lit but has no image
A glowing panel with no usable picture can point toward the T-Con section, panel connections, main-board video output, or panel failure. Inspect ribbon cables carefully before replacing electronics.
Do not order by model number alone
Hisense uses multiple board revisions within some model families. The safest replacement is one matched to the exact part number printed on the original assembly.
