TV has no sound troubleshooting guide - Short Circuit Solution
Need repair help? If the picture works but the TV is silent, start with settings and source checks before assuming the speakers or main board have failed. Repair Help

Start With the Simple Audio Checks

Make sure the TV is not muted and raise the volume using the buttons on the television itself. Open the audio settings and confirm the output is set to the TV speakers rather than Bluetooth, optical audio, ARC/eARC, or an external receiver.

Test More Than One Source

Try a built-in streaming app, another HDMI input, and an over-the-air or tuner source if available. If only one device has no sound, the source device, cable, or audio-format setting may be the cause.

Check Digital Audio and HDMI Settings

ARC/eARC, CEC, pass-through, and digital-audio format settings can affect sound. Temporarily return audio output to the TV speakers and use a basic PCM setting when troubleshooting an external device.

When the Speakers May Be the Problem

Buzzing, crackling, distortion, or sound that returns when one speaker is disconnected can point toward a speaker or wiring issue. With power disconnected, inspect accessible speaker plugs and wiring for obvious damage.

When the Main Board Becomes a Stronger Suspect

On many modern TVs the main board handles audio decoding, HDMI audio, Bluetooth, and the amplifier signal path. If every source is silent, settings are correct, and the speakers and wiring appear intact, a main-board fault becomes more plausible.

TV Main Board Problems Guide

Match the Exact Replacement Board

Do not order a main board only from the TV model. Manufacturers often use multiple board revisions in the same model family. Match the complete assembly or service part number from the original board.
